Mihaela Condrat

Mihaela Condrat has taught Romanian language and literature at Colegiul National "Spiru Haret" in Tulcea, Romania, since 2004. She has headed the school's European Projects Department since 2018 — designing more than a dozen Erasmus+ projects under the KA101, KA210, KA229 and KA121 programmes, coordinating most of them and partnering on others — served as the school's deputy manager from 2022 to 2025, and has been its UNESCO Coordinator since 2024. Since December 2025 she has also chaired the Tulcea-based association Asociatia Speranta Tineretii.

Since 2020 she has trained teachers nationally in media literacy and digital media literacy for Romania's Center for Independent Journalism (CJI), working with 15 cohorts of trainees. She has been an international trainer for Erasmus Mobility Academy since 2023, delivering courses on digital media literacy, digital cultural heritage and soft skills — most recently adding leadership and management in education, delivered in Malta.

Her designed and coordinated Erasmus+ projects include the social-emotional-learning and anti-bullying initiatives "I SEE (Social and Emotional Education) @ School" (2020–2021) and "Stop Bullying and Cyberbullying" (2018–2019), the emotional-awareness project "e(Motions) Mapping" (2020–2023), and the Jean Monnet project "D.A.R.Q.", which brings EU initiatives into school curricula (2024–2027) — as well as "Keep on Playing" and "Young Ambassadors for a Healthy Lifestyle", both running in 2025–2026.

Internationally, she attended the SciLMi Teacher Training on digital media and information literacy in Munich (2025), took part in an EACEA cluster meeting in Brussels (2025), and represented her school at the European Youth Event (EYE 2021) at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Between 2017 and 2022 she completed several Erasmus+ transnational mobility and training activities across Finland, Norway, Spain, Greece, Czechia and Italy.

She holds a degree in Romanian Language and Literature – English Language and Literature from Ovidius University of Constanta (1999–2003), together with a master's degree in Romance Philology (2008) and a Didactic Degree I (2018) from the same university.
