Asst. Prof. Metin Taytaş
Dr. Metin Taytaş is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Sciences at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, where he has taught since 2022 after completing his PhD in Educational Sciences at the same university (2017–2021). His research and university teaching centre on psychological counselling and guidance, inclusive and special education, and the psychological foundations of learning — including published studies on burnout and trauma-intervention skills among psychological counsellors, learning difficulties, individualised education programmes, and attitudes toward gifted-education (BİLSEM) provision. He currently teaches Guidance & Special Education, Vocational Guidance Practices, Gifted Children and Their Education, and Learning Difficulties at undergraduate level, alongside a graduate course on new approaches in school guidance services. His more recent research extends into digital learning, examining the psychological effects of AI-based language-learning tools on anxiety and motivation and the digital transformation of language for individuals with developmental disabilities — work that connects directly to EMA's Inclusive Education and Digital & Innovative Education strands, alongside Teacher Training & Classroom Management, where his background in guidance services and teaching-practice supervision applies directly.
