From STEM to STEAM: Integrating Art into STEM Education
This session has already taken place. The dates below are the next available runs of the same course.
About this course
This course teaches educators how to integrate art into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects, moving from STEM to STEAM. By incorporating art, students build creativity, sharpen problem-solving skills and experience genuinely interdisciplinary learning. Participants design their own STEAM-based lesson plans and projects, using digital tools to make STEM subjects more engaging and inclusive.
Methodology
After brief theoretical grounding in the STEAM model, participants spend most of the course developing their own lesson plans and projects.
Daily group work, collaborative activities and creative problem-solving tasks put art-STEM integration into direct practice.
Digital tools support the design of interdisciplinary projects that combine artistic and scientific competencies.
