Methodology
Practical Tools, Not Just Theory
Positive behaviour interventions, restorative practices and student-centred techniques are taught through practical tips and tools you can use immediately.
Realistic Classroom Scenarios
Sample classroom scenarios and role-play stand in for lectures, so you practise responding to real disruptive-behaviour situations.
Collaborative Learning Focus
Group and collaborative learning techniques help you build a more positive, engaged classroom.
What you'll take home
Recognise core techniques from three major classroom-management approaches — positive behavioural interventions and supports (PBIS), restorative practices, and social-emotional learning — and begin applying them in your own classroom. Use practical, tested strategies to prevent and manage disruptive behaviour in your classroom. Apply collaborative learning techniques and relationship-building strategies, such as the "2x10" method, to increase student engagement. Design a classroom action plan that creates a more active, positive and supportive learning environment.
