The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Personalized Learning
Course Description
This course aims to teach educators how to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into personalized learning processes to enhance educational outcomes. AI can tailor learning experiences to meet individual student needs, improving both efficiency and student performance. Aligned with the 2021-2027 Erasmus+ Programme and its focus on digital transformation, this course highlights how digital tools and AI can revolutionize education.
Participants will explore how to use AI-powered tools, data analytics, and personalized learning strategies in the classroom. Throughout the course, they will work on projects and learn how AI can offer new opportunities for creating adaptive learning environments.
Course Methodology
This course follows an activity-based, hands-on, and collaborative methodology. Theoretical sessions will be brief (a maximum of 1 hour per day), with a focus on practical AI-driven applications and strategies. Participants will be encouraged to experiment with digital tools and AI-powered solutions that enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Educators will learn how to integrate tools such as Padlet, Google Classroom, and AI-based student assessment tools into their teaching processes. They will also explore how to optimize personalized learning experiences by using these tools in the classroom.

Day 1: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in Education

- Introduction to AI in Education – The role of AI in education and its impact on digital transformation.
- Using Digital Tools with AI Applications – Tools like Google Classroom, AI-based student assessment platforms, and more.
- Project Simulation: Designing an AI-Powered Lesson Plan – Educators will develop a lesson plan using AI-powered tools to enhance personalized learning.
Day 2: Personalized Learning and Data Analytics
- Warm-up Activity: “Quick Conversations” – Participants will engage in short discussions about AI and personalized learning.
- Personalized Learning with Artificial Intelligence – How to design AI-driven teaching strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Using Data Analytics to Assess Student Performance – How to use AI-powered data analysis tools to evaluate student performance.
- Project Presentations and Feedback – Participants will present their AI-based personalized learning projects and receive feedback.
Day 3: AI-Enhanced Pedagogy with Digital Tools

- Using Digital Tools with AI – Tools like Quizlet, Kahoot, and Mentimeter to enhance student engagement through AI.

Day 4: Classroom Management and Assessment with AI
- Classroom Management with AI – Developing classroom management strategies using AI-powered tools.

Day 5: Course Evaluation and Future AI Projects
- Project Feedback and Evaluation – Participants will receive feedback on their AI-powered projects.
