Teaching Robotics and Coding in Education
Course Description
ABOUT THE COURSE
Robotics and coding are intersecting and are fascinating fields of Computer Science. Robotics is a surpassing way to introduce your students or kids to STEM-based learning at an early age. However, before taking into robotics and coding, it’s essential to know about robots.
Course Content:
- Fundamentals of Robot Technologies: Participants start by learning basic robotic concepts and the fundamental principles of robot technology.
- The ABCs of Coding: Introduction to fundamental coding concepts and algorithmic thinking, progressing from basic to more complex programming.
- Robot Programming Languages: Students learn commonly used robot programming languages and explore how to use these languages to accomplish simple robot tasks.
- Sensor and Actuator Usage: Participants learn how to use sensors and actuators to perceive and interact with their surroundings.
- Project-Based Learning: The course provides an environment for students to develop creative projects and find solutions to real-world problems.
Target Audience:
- Educators and teachers
- Middle and high school students
- Anyone interested in coding and robotics
LEARNİNG OUTCOMES
Understanding the value and importance of robotics and coding in the kindergarten through eighth-grade curriculum. Coding is the process of writing instructions that a robot or computer program can understand and then carry out. To Determine the task, we want to complete through a robot, design the code to make it happen, and then send it to the robot to view the outcome.

Follow-up
Trainees will be given soft and hard copies of all lesson materials, which they can present to their colleagues at their own organizations to generate interest in the strategies learnt during the training course. In addition, a mailing list of participants will be created in order to exchange ideas/experiences. Self-evaluation materials will be provided. At the end of the course the participants will fill in a questionnaire in order to get a detailed feedback for the effectiveness of the training event.
